One of the highlights of the trip for me was getting to spend some time photographing Darrian and BJ. They’re such great kids and SO awesome in front of the camera. Although, BJ isn’t that big of a fan of my camera…must be a boy thing. I did get a few that I am very happy with.

I just noticed the rock in his hand. BJ is a total rock nut!

Can you believe they’re 8 and 10 !! Gees! They look so grown up. These “serious” pictures were actually pretty hard to get. They are very bubbly kids and kept laughing when I asked them to give me a serious look. Here are a few less serious ones of BJ showing off his rock…What a goof ball! I actually later saw him cleaning this rock with a toothbrush! haha
What a beauty!
Doesn’t Asa look so sad here? I think it’s so cool how pictures capture split second moods because he was having a blast running around with his cousins.

And this was my attempt at a group shot. As you can see NONE of them came out. Thank goodness for digital!!

And what in the world is going on here!? I was there and I don’t even know…too funny.

And here is dinner cooking as we were running around. mmmm…leg o lamb.

Frederick the “Gate Keeper” If Frederick could talk he would say “you shall not PASS!” hehe

Many more photos to come. Just so many to go through!

San DieGO!

Just getting caught up on laundry and unpacking after our San Diego trip. oh yeah…and that annoying thing called work! ha! We had a great time hanging out and visiting with family. The highlight for sure was Asa meeting Mickey Mouse at Disney Land. For once that kid was speechless!

I also had my birthday while we were out there. 29!! The last year of my twenties, oh my! And my much anticipated birthday photo shoot with a really cool photographer was a bust. I scheduled a family session for me, Sean and Asa back in Sept and I guess the photographer forgot about it. I was SO bummed! Just wasn’t meant to be I guess. Anyway, there is absolutely NO shortage of pictures. I even had a photo shoot out there with 8 mo old triplets! Yes triplets. Can you believe that? And it was probably one of the hardest photo shoots I’ve ever done. Tricky lighting and tricky subjects. Here is one that I just love.

I’ll share more of the triplets as I get them edited. The next few pics are at a park with an awesome view of the mountains. Coming from Texas where the landscape is flat this was such a treat. I can’t imagine being able to see this everyday just driving down the street.

I have to give credit to Jess for this one. Totally her idea and I love it!
More fun at another park. Asa got a little T-ball set and was having a blast playing with Sean and his cousins.

Well, that’s it for now. I’ll post more as I go through them. Ciao!

Dee - whose triplets are those? they look concerned.

We’re outta here!

for a week any way…

My last session from 2007

Took me a while to get this one up on the blog with all the holiday hoopla! This is my friends son, Brian, who turned 5 just a few days before Christmas. It seems like just the other day I was going to her baby shower and now he’ll be starting school this year! I know people say it all the time but kids grow up too fast!

Since it was his birthday I had this grand idea of taking him out to a field with a bunch of balloons. And wouldn’t you know as soon as we opened the car door those balloons sailed off! I couldn’t believe it!! Oh well, we had fun anyway…despite the great balloon escape.

a lovely garden engagement.. » Jenny McCann Photography Blog - [...] sure if she’s aware of the domino effect that was created after I first photographed her son in 2007. Those photos were spied by one of her coworkers who contacted me about engagement photos. [...]
