Film Friday // looking ahead

film fridays: a personal project where I put down my digital camera and share images created on film.

I am bursting, or as the teens like to say LITERALLY bursting, with excitement! I will be attending the T and T Dynamite (FIVE FREAKIN’ DAY LONG) Workshop extravaganza in New Orleans in November. Five whole days of immersing myself in photography with people who share a similar passion,  in one of my favorite cities with one of my biggest all time favorite Film photographer idols, Tanja Lippert!! Not to mention New Orleans in November is just heavenly. It’s going to be incredible. So looking forward to November!

Here’s to positive thinking!!

If all goes as planned this afternoon, I will be photographing my two children in a styled session that I have been working on for the past 3-4 months. (For some reason, I feel the need to torture myself like this at least once a year.) Last year was a bit of a bust but I have high hopes for this year! You can expect to see film, swim caps, transistor radios, fire and a WHOLE LOTTA behind the scenes bribery. Here’s to positive thinking!!

Dallas Family Photographer

This was a fun family session I did a few weeks ago with our good friends, the Keith Family. The kids were one big ball of energy. I loved it!

Just in case any body is at ALL curious why the bottom left photo looks so amazing it’s because 1) Rachel is beautiful and 2) it’s film! : )

Film Fridays // flowers

film fridays: a personal project where I put down my digital camera and share images created on film.

 

This was a quick impromptu session I did with Chloe one day. I spied this little Ralph Lauren dress at my favorite used clothing store and bought it for the sole purpose of photos. I think I paid a total of $7 for it. Score! Then I spotted this field of yellow flowers and off we went! Purely a case of clothing inspiration. Anybody else get inspired by clothing!? Kinda hard to resist when you have a girl, too. : )

And ice cream as a reward! Bribery works every time. : )
