film fridays: a personal project where I put down my digital camera and share images created on film
So, what do you do when you plan the most fantastic photoshoot and moments before you start shooting it starts raining? And not just a quick shower either it pours. Well, you know what they say, “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade!” So that is just what we did.
I had planned to shoot this beautiful pink haired maiden at the Highland Village hot air balloon festival which would have been AWWWWESOME but the weather had other plans…SO! I had to think quick or else lose the opportunity completely. I scanned my house for an interesting backdrop and found this tablecloth with the perfect colors. We took a few shots with that in my garage and then went to a park that I knew had a cover. The wind was insane, the sky was dark and it wasn’t at ALL what I had envisioned but you know what? it’s ok! That’s how it goes sometimes. I still had a lot of fun and the photos came out great, don’t you think?
Special thanks to Julia for the beautiful makeup!
