a lovely garden engagement..

…with my lovely friend Veronica and her fiancé. Despite gray skies the botanical garden buzzed with bright colors and fresh blooms. It was a great day to celebrate new found love and devotion.

I would be remiss if I did not mention that Veronica is the reason I started photographing weddings in the first place! I’m not even sure if she’s aware of the domino effect that was created after I first photographed her son in 2007. Those photos were spied by one of her coworkers who contacted me about engagement photos. And then asked the terrifying question “will you also photograph my wedding?” As reluctant as I was, she had me at “Bahamas”. Then a guest at that wedding got engaged and hired me to photograph HER wedding. And then three more weddings spawned from THAT wedding! Now we come full circle back to Veronica’s own engagement. Pretty cool, huh?
